Bob Whelan College Awards Dinner

This year's dinner will be on Thursday, December 15, 2016.


78th Bulger Lowe Award - Defensive end Harold Landry of Boston College and wide receiver Noel Thomas of Connecticut.

71st Nils V. "Swede" Nelson Award - Punter Justin Wain of Connecticut in the Bowl/Championship Division; linebacker Mark Upton of Bates College in Divisions II/III.

21st Joe Zabilski Award - Defensive back Andrew Benson and offensize lineman Sullivan Crotty, both of Assumption College, in Division II; running back Chance Brady of Tufts and linebacker Matthew McEvilly of Nichols College in Division III.

Head Coaches of the Year - Tim Murphy of Harvard in Bowl/Championship Division; Tom Godek of Southern Connecticut in Division II; Jay Civetti of Tufts in Division III.

Assistant Coaches of the Year - Special teams and defensive line coach Al Washington of Boston College in the Bowl/Championship Division; assistant head coach and offensive coordinator Paul McGonagle of Assumption in Division II; offensive coordinator Jason LeBeay of Western Nee England University in Division III.

Joseph V. McKenney Award for top collegiate official - Gerry Morrissey of the Northeast-10 Conference.
